Online Learning Platform:

1. Through our partnership with IBM, we can provide customers with a six-month free license to SkillsBuild (online learning modules with a variety of skill topics). SkillsBuild buys learning modules from different sources, including Udemy. If interested, complete the SkillsBuild Interest Form to sign up for the 30-minute orientation. After the orientation, you’ll be given access to SkillsBuild.
2. LinkedIn Learning is available via a LinkedIn premium account. Please attend one of our LinkedIn workshops to learn more about LinkedIn and how to access a free LinkedIn premium license complements of our partnership with LinkedIn.

Formalized Classroom Training:

NOVAworks administers a variety of grants that provide career services, including a limited amount of funding for training services. We contract with quality training providers who meet State-specified performance measures for program completion and entered employment for program graduates. Our providers include some UC Extensions, community colleges, adult education, and private schools.

NOVAworks provides training assistance for individuals seeking to enhance their skills for re-entering the workforce. However, the availability of training programs is contingent upon eligibility criteria and availability of funds.

We invite you to review the Training Process overview outlined here. We highly recommend that customers participate in the Career Exploration workshop to gain valuable insights into our process. To receive training approval, eligible customers are required to complete the Career Exploration Guide (CEG)
