Guidance
The NOVAworks Young Adult Program provides expanded services through the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).
Services may include:- Work experience
- Tutoring
- Career exploration
- Job shadowing
- College transition
You may be eligible for individual support services if you meet all of the following criteria:
- are not currently a high school or college student;
- are between the ages of 17 and 24;
- live in the cities of Cupertino, Los Altos, Milpitas, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Santa Clara, or Sunnyvale or anywhere in San Mateo County;
and meet one of the following criteria:
- High school dropout;
- Pursuing GED or HiSET at an adult education center;
- Juvenile or adult offender;
- Pregnant or parenting;
- Disabled;
- Homeless;
- Low-income, economically disadvantaged, and/or receiving TANF, SNAP, Cash Aid, or General Assistance; or
- Foster youth
